Cafe Du Monde Beignets

Powdered sugar embellishes my pants, clings to my hands and I now am wearing it as lipstick! Don't worry friends, I ate a few for you, too!

Day Two - New Orleans

Another first for me, but hopefully not the last, beignets at Cafe Du Monde.
Coffee first came to North America by way of New Orleans back in the 1700's. The original Cafe Du Monde coffee stand was established in 1862 in the New Orleans French Market.
Beignets are square French style doughnuts, lavishly covered with powdered sugar.
Doesn't get any better than this!
